Our hearts are heavy from the tragedy in the Texas Hill Country. We pray for those impacted by the flooding. At all of our camps, Young Life has emergency procedures, both for natural disasters and accidents, and we regularly train on and review these procedures. The safety of every young person at camp is one of our highest priorities, and it influences our decision-making in every aspect of camp. If you have specific questions, please reach out to your local camp – contact info is at the bottom of this page – and thank you for keeping those affected in Texas in your prayers.
Cultivating the Extraordinary
Transforming thousands of lives every year
Camp Development Principles
After construction is complete, Young Life camps are financially self-sufficient. All operational expenses, maintenance, administrative costs and funded depreciation are paid from camp revenue generated by the camper fee. Only major capital projects require fundraising after the initial purchase or construction.

Leave No Camper Behind Scholarship Fund
Each year, the staff, volunteers and friends of Washington Family Ranch come together to fundraise so no camper gets left behind for lack of camp funds.
Sometimes it's a job loss. Sometimes it's a medical crisis. Whatever the reason, these kids want to come to camp but the financial cost of the week stands in their way. Their leaders apply on their behalf by the hundreds every year, and with each application comes the story of a kid desperately in need of Christ.
100% of funds donated to LNCB go to campers. The amount WFR can give in scholarship depends on fundraising in the preceding fall, winter and spring. After fifteen years of LNCB, over six thousand campers have received more than one million dollars in scholarship funds! If you would like to partner with the staff of WFR in bringing kids to camp, you can donate through this link or send a check to WFR with 'Leave No Camper Behind' in the memo line.
Thank you for helping us bring every kid to camp!
